CNC Machinist
Reports To: QC Supervisor
Job SummaryThe CNC Machinist sets up, operates, and troubleshoots CNC milling and/or turning machines to produce precision metal and non‑metal parts. This role ensures accurate setups, program execution, and in‑process quality to meet engineering and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines using programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining processes.
- Adjust and edit CNC programs, speeds, feeds, and offsets as needed.
- Monitor machining operations, identify tool wear or process issues, and apply corrective actions.
- Inspect first‑article and in‑process parts to verify conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
- Document production and inspection results per control plans.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Follow all safety, ISO/IATF, and Lean manufacturing standards.
- Technical certificate or 3–5 years of CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Close visual acuity and ability to adjust focus required.
