Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Position Type: Locum tenens (Travel contract)
• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403
• Setting: Hospital
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00pm – 6:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• Floating: May float to facilities within a 25-mile radius
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1610

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Arizona Respiratory Therapist license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical respiratory therapy experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) credential
• Ability to work night shifts and float as needed

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Conduct assessments, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support trauma and chest pain center cases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and Joint Commission standards
• Float to other hospital units or facilities within a 25-mile radius as required
