Technical Writer (IT)
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Technical Writer to join their Information Security Office (ISO) team. This is a hybrid role - 2 days per week in office. This is a six month contract assignment. Onsite work in downtown Phoenix is required. This is a six month contract assignment. Summary: This role focuses on Policy Planning and Design and supports the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, procedures, and related documentation. The Technical Writer will work closely with management, technical staff, and subject-matter experts to create clear, user-friendly content that aligns with city guidelines and legal requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and maintain technical documents, policies, standards, and operating procedures
- Gather and analyze technical information to document new or updated functionality
- Write, format, edit, and proof content for technical and non-technical audiences
- Assist in planning and tracking documentation deliverables to meet deadlines
- Develop content for websites, reports, metrics, training materials, and communication pieces
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, concise content
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple technical teams
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Understanding of business etiquette and professional protocols
- Candidates must be local and available for in-person interviews within one week of posting close date
- Must be able to start within two weeks of an offer
