We are growing and looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving process improvements and implementing best practices across the team. Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

(Must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation)

• Perform timely month end close tasks
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Prepare balance sheet accruals
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Manage prepaid expenses
• Apply ASC 842 lease accounting standards
• Manage the company’s business license renewals
• Accounting for long-term debt
• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Assist with completion of balance sheet and tax audits
• Evaluate and utilize technology to help streamline, create improvement efficiencies, and implement new processes
• Report analysis and findings to management team
• Support various projects, as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software required. Experience with Dynamics Business Central or NAV is a definite plus
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting and fixed asset management
• Experience working with accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet)
• Experience working in private equity a plus
• Experience leveraging technology, improving processes and creating efficiencies driven
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, and data analysis tools
