Senior Electrical Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer works within the R&D department and is responsible for architecture/design, development, deployment, and maintenance of electrical and electronic hardware within products. This person will be on a career path for manager. These products include internet-connected components as well as systems which consist of multiple mechanical/ electrical/firmware and software components which must work together seamlessly. This position requires close collaboration and cooperation with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to develop solutions with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market. Responsibilities:

• Senior Electrical Engineer will architect, design, develop, debug, deploy, and maintain electrical and electronic hardware for new and existing Company products
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines, including engineering, manufacturing, finance, and product management to design and develop high quality, highly reliable, easily maintainable hardware/systems with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market
• Develop thorough design documentation
• As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will develop and execute test procedures
• Provide support for internal and external customers
• Design for Manufacturability and Assembly experience; Proven track record of taking designs through manufacturing
• Experience developing electrical hardware in a cross-functional team
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, electromagnetic engineering design principles and the physics behind them
• Knowledge of low-power real-time embedded system design (Cortex, PIC a plus)
• Knowledge of digital communication hardware and protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, IrDA, USB, WiFi, RFID, TCP/IP)
• Proven track record launching mid volume (10K to 100K EAU) user friendly products from concept through product launch; IIoT/IoT products
• Skilled in analog/digital circuit design and analysis
• Strong design and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and strong, logical problem-solving skills
• Leadership skills
• Ability to prepare and verify detailed calculations, specifications, and analysis
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and activities
• Ability to successfully complete projects/sub-projects within agreed upon deadlines

• RF circuit design and FCC/IC experience
• Knowledge of rechargeable battery technologies and power supply design
• Ability to recommend and justify the purchase of tools and equipment

• PCB design experience using Altium; Flex-PCB design experience
• Encryption hardware experience
• Machine Learning experience
• Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile NPD processes
• Organize and participate in design reviews
• Knowledge of software development models and project management techniques
