Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (in Arizona or eligibility to obtain)
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally within a middle school or resource room environment
• Deep knowledge of IEPs, differentiated instruction practices, and student advocacy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
• High level of organization, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction and individualized support to students in a middle school resource room
• Develop and implement IEPs, tracking progress and maintaining documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and specialist staff to meet students’ diverse learning needs
• Provide academic and behavioral interventions that promote positive outcomes
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
