**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive maintenance technician to perform maintenance on both manual and CNC equipment such as plasma tables, shears, spot welders, hydraulic press brakes, and other light gauge sheet metal manufacturing equipment. This role is vital to our business, which focuses on the manufacture of sheet metal components. The position involves 70% equipment maintenance and 30% facilities maintenance.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery, including metal forming and cutting equipment, to minimize downtime.
+ Ensure equipment reliability and availability to support maximum production line efficiency.
+ Maintain, repair, and monitor all facility infrastructure and amenities, including water dispensers, refrigerators, HVAC systems, lighting, restrooms, and racking.
+ Execute light construction and renovation tasks such as demolition, painting, and remodeling.
+ Oversee upkeep of facility exteriors, including parking lots, fencing, building structure, and signage.
+ Utilize the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance requests, log updates, and record associated costs.
+ Coordinate and manage external service providers for janitorial services, fire safety inspections, pest control, and waste management.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance, ideally with rotating machinery, presses, and CNC sheet metal cutting.
+ Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of production and facility equipment.
+ Skilled in mechanical and electrical disassembly and reassembly using proper techniques.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical components such as gearboxes, punches, conveyors, and actuators.
+ Working knowledge of electrical systems, including mains and low-voltage components, switchgear, motors, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
+ Experience with light construction, basic plumbing, and electrical wiring.
+ Competent in the safe and effective use of hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and electrical testing equipment.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet navigation.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ Fluent in Spanish.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Familiar with PLCs & HMIs, Servo motors, and robotics.
+ Certificate from a trade school or Associate's Degree.

**Work Environment**
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and performing tasks involving bending, kneeling, crouching, and prolonged standing or walking. Work in environments with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and exposure to lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning agents, and paints (with appropriate PPE). Work shifts from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and be available for off-shift and weekend work as required. Occasional local travel (less than 5%) may be necessary. Production runs Monday through Saturday, so must be willing to work overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
