Position Summary
Copa Health is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to support the Finance team in managing the organization’s financial obligations. This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Administration Office in Mesa, AZ . This role is responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting compliance with internal policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals prior to payment
- Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable
- Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approvals

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience in healthcare or non-profit organizations
- Familiarity with ERP or electronic invoice processing systems
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles
