Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (3 days/week onsite)

Location: NYC, NY - Hybrid

Duration: 6 + months

Summary:
Seeking an experienced developer to support maintenance, enhancement, migration, and modernization of identity management services. This role will involve upgrading legacy systems, migrating services to new environments, improving service architectures, and ensuring secure, efficient authentication and authorization processes. Work will be performed in agile sprints with clear deliverables and performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate core services from Python 2.7 to Python 3.13.
• Refactor monolithic applications into functional services and deploy them to dedicated clusters.
• Migrate services from legacy infrastructure (e.g., RHEL 7.x) to updated environments.
• Enhance and secure authentication and authorization services, including OAUTH token integration.
• Develop, test, and deploy services using Python, Go, and other languages as needed.
• Upgrade Nginx services to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Implement SCIM infrastructure and onboard client integrations.
• Participate in sprint-based development cycles with clear timelines, testing, and rollback plans.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in middleware development (Go, Python, Nginx).
• Strong background in web services (SOAP, REST).
• Experience with distributed systems, caching (Redis, etcd), and MySQL.
• Knowledge of automation, CI/CD systems, and scripting.
• Solid understanding of Linux OS and system administration.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning expertise.
• Familiarity with authentication, identity management, and security best practices.

Work Environment:

• Agile sprint-based development cycles (2 4 weeks).
• Deliverables include migration plans, test documentation, and staged rollouts.
• Performance evaluated on timeliness, code quality, and completeness.
