- Build actionable roadmaps that balance growth and profitability while reflecting our design-led approach.
- Monitor specification activity, market demand, design preferences, and competitive trends to inform priorities.
- Financial Ownership
- Partner with Finance to manage product-line P&Ls (revenue, COGS, gross margin, allocated OPEX, EBIT).
- Identify levers to improve profitability (pricing, sourcing, product mix, remakes).
- Report on performance by product category and recommend adjustments to strengthen results.
- Design & Market Engagement
- Equip the Product Design team with profitability insights that inform design direction and ensure products remain commercially viable.
- Help the design team understand which product attributes most influence margin performance.
- Partner with Sales and Production to support specifications with architects, designers, and contractors.
- Maintain awareness of standards (LEED, WELL, etc.) that influence specification decisions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Operations to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce remakes in manufacturing.
- Provide product insights that shape marketing content, sales tools, and training.
- Partner with Engineering/Design on new materials, system innovations, and applications.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years in Product Management, Product Marketing, or related roles in manufacturing, building materials, or architectural products.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to interpret and act on P&L performance.
- Experience collaborating with design teams on product development and positioning.
- Understanding of the architectural specification process and sales cycle.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards (LEED, WELL, etc.) preferred.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills — able to connect financial and design perspectives.
- Hands-on, analytical, and resourceful — thrives in environments where systems and structures are still evolving.
