Tax Manager- Regional CPA and Advisory / Family Office

One of our regionally owned accounting, tax, and advisory firms (CAAS) has partnered with us to find an experienced Tax Manager in sunny and gorgeous Phoenix, AZ to come and join the firm.

This firm works with multiple business clients (big range of complexity and revenue) in the local area as well as some national clients, in addition to some high profile high net worth personal clients for a variety of tax and advisory needs. This may be a good fit if you are looking for more growth, or you may have been stressed long enough at your large top 10 top 25 firm that keeps asking for more hours with little reward.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Work independently and with the management staff to work with an assigned group of clients across multiple industries

-Advise clients on multiple tax issues, planning, research and compliance

-Notice and correct errors with tax returns for proper IRS standards

-Prep and review tax returns for multiple entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts

-Work with key clients for business advisory and tax decisions

-Supervise and train junior tax personnel

-Help when needed for local business events networking and fostering relationships

Role Requirements:

-5+ years of tax prep and review experience with various entities, businesses, estates, high net worth

-Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent)- Business, Econ, etc.

-Masters in tax or accounting or tax would be great, but not needed

-CPA is not required but highly appreciated, CPA eligible, sitting for exam soon is ideal

-EA is also good with several years of solid tax prop and review experience

-High level of tax skills, organization, and analytical skills

-Work in a tight deadline environment
