Warehouse Specialist

Summary of the Role

The Warehouse Specialist supports the Production Manager with the day-to-day coordination of warehouse and distribution operations. This is a hands-on role that works closely with both the production and distribution teams to help ensure customer satisfaction and on-time order fulfillment.

This position is responsible for assisting with operational logistics including workflow coordination, inventory control, daily production support, quality checks, packaging, and shipping/receiving activities. The Warehouse Specialist helps maintain organized warehouse operations, monitors inventory accuracy, and supports efficient movement of materials between production and distribution.

The role also supports team processes and operational standards while helping track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs). The Warehouse Specialist works with the Production Manager to help ensure quality, safety, and efficiency standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure team-members follow defined manufacturing and distribution procedures and comply with quality requirements.
• Proper Receipt and storage of in-bound product.
• Responsible for both participation and oversight of picking product in warehouse and ensuring preparation of items in various forms for distribution.
• Makes recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements.
• Responsible for scheduling and execution of inventory cycle counting.
• Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure effective completion of daily requirements.
• Maintains expected business level of quality control on all items shipped.
• Delivers product as required.
• Performs other related duties as required

Skills and Abilities

• Intermediate computer skills a must. Prefer experience working in ERP or Inventory system. Basic computer skills in MS Office, internet and email.

Supports a positive, productive work environment by sharing knowledge, assisting others when needed, and helping maintain alignment with company goals.Excellent attention to detail.
• Applicants should possess the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner. Some leadership experience a plus.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure. Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Production scheduling experience preferred, but not required.
• The ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• • 5+ years of warehousing or production experience in an industrial setting.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be skilled in driving and operating a forklift in small, confined areas.
