Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state Special Education teaching certification
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the middle school level
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction across core subjects to middle school students in special education programs
- Create, update, and maintain accurate IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions
- Monitor, track, and communicate student progress with families and school personnel
- Adapt lessons and materials to support diverse learning styles and abilities
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and required trainings
