HR Administrative Assistant I
POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of HR-related tasks on a professional level and will collaborate closely with the Manager of Human Resources. This position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, onboarding, policy implementation, benefits, employee relations and employee law compliance.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding process.
- Assist the development of HR processes, policies, and systems.
- Monitor and update tardy and absenteeism report and ensure proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism.
- Perform data entry into HRIS System to including such information as new hires, separations, vacations, and sick leaves.
- Compile and process employee documentation and records and keep the employee database up to date.
- Scan and upload personnel records and training records into HRIS System.
- Prepare timecard badges for new hires.
- Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
- Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
- Aid in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
- Prepare presentations for internal communications.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and various excel spreadsheets.
- Attendance work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be ready for work at the start of the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Experience: One to two years related experience, to include the following:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, date entry, and recordkeeping
- Tact and professionalism when it comes to handling confidential information and addressing employee concerns
- Proficiency with technology, and the ability to pick up new software easily.
Computer Skills
MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HRIS Systems and Time Keeping systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 per year
