Human Resources Coordinator
(Seasonal until End of December)
Monday-Friday, 11am-830pm (will Train 8am-430pm)
Weekend availability, for OT
General Purpose of the Position:
Entry-level position involving administrative tasks related to hiring, developing and managing employees. The HR Coordinator will often assist the Human Resources Business Partner and HR team with maintaining employee records, orientation and handling employee inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
An HR Coordinator position is often exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department.
Ensuring the workplace is compliant with labor standards and maintains records regarding employee grievances, etc.
Coordinating and scheduling new employee orientations
Preparing employee name badges
Keeping process paperwork and employment records
Supports the recruitment team when needed with various aspects of recruitment
Assists with guiding employees through various human resource processes, answering any questions they may have about policies and procedures
Assists with administering benefits
Ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state and federal regulations
Consulting with the employer and identifying employment needs
Interviewing potential applicants regarding their skills, experience and education
Contacting references and performing background checks on applicants
Informing applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits and duties
Hiring or referring qualified applicants for the employer
Skills and Qualifications
Efficient in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, vlookup, conditional formatting, text to columns, etc,)
Excellent speaking and listening skills to share information effectively, while paying careful attention to concerns and questions from employees and job applicants
Decision-making skills
Detail-oriented:
Interpersonal skills
Computer Equipment and Software:
Laptop or desktop computer, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PC Anywhere, system application software, etc.
Education and Experience Required:
SPHR or PHR preferred
