Engineer Aeronautical 1

We are seeking a Mass Properties Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on modeling and analyzing mass properties for complex aerospace systems. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multiple groups to ensure critical performance and weight requirements are met for launch vehicles and related systems. The position offers hands-on experience, exposure to advanced technologies, and opportunities for innovation. Key Responsibilities + Develop and maintain mass properties models for launch vehicles and subsystems. + Perform weight and balance analysis, including estimating and optimizing mass properties. + Establish design target weights and track compliance throughout the lifecycle. + Maintain accounting systems and provide trend analysis for leadership. + Support proposal evaluations, design reviews, and operational documentation. + Conduct component weighing and verification for accuracy. + Present findings in technical and program reviews. + Collaborate closely with other departments to gather data and communicate status. Basic Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field. + 0-5 years of engineering experience. + Proficiency with MS Office tools. + Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively. + Solid verbal and written communication skills. + Basic CAD knowledge. + Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications + Active Secret clearance. + Experience with Access VBA and Excel Macros. + Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines. + Familiarity with mass properties concepts (mass, weight, center of gravity, moments of inertia, etc.). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $51.50/hr.
