Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Lease Crutcher Lewis is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical field operations for data center and advanced technology construction projects in Phoenix, AZ. This project site-based role is ideal for a field leader who understands the precision, coordination, safety focus, schedule discipline, commissioning rigor, and technical sequencing required to deliver complex electrical systems in mission critical data center environments.
As an Electrical Superintendent, you will lead the construction performance of electrical field operations, including power distribution, low-voltage systems, temporary power, energization planning, shutdown coordination, commissioning support, safety, quality, schedule, productivity, labor planning, trade coordination, and site logistics. You will serve as a key liaison between field teams, project teams, clients, trade partners, commissioning partners, and other stakeholders while promoting Lewis’ values and the interests of both the business and our clients.
The ideal candidate brings strong general contracting and electrical construction experience leading large, complex electrical scopes in data center, mission critical, advanced technology, semiconductor, cleanroom, or other highly technical environments where uptime, safety, sequencing, coordination, and quality are essential.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- You create a safe, organized, and productive jobsite where field teams understand expectations, work is well coordinated, and project commitments are met.
- You build trust with data center and advanced technology clients by understanding their operational priorities, uptime expectations, schedule drivers, technical requirements, and need for clear communication around electrical infrastructure, power distribution, low-voltage systems, shutdowns, energization, commissioning, logistics, and safety controls.
- You lead with accountability, solve field challenges early, and keep teams aligned around safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
- You develop foremen, assistant superintendents, and field teams by setting clear expectations, coaching consistently, and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
- You strengthen Lewis’ reputation in data center and advanced technology construction through excellent electrical field execution, disciplined planning, trusted relationships, and a consistent commitment to doing the right thing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Manage field and internal team assignments to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and with high-quality results.
- Produce, maintain, and drive project schedules, ensuring follow-through on schedule commitments.
- Provide constructability reviews, site logistics planning, phasing coordination, electrical sequencing, and field input during preconstruction and project planning.
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors, suppliers, field teams, commissioning resources, utility partners, equipment vendors, and project stakeholders to maintain alignment, resolve issues efficiently, and support reliable delivery of data center electrical systems.
- Support project closeout, punch list completion, turnover, and warranty transition.
Electrical, Safety, and Quality
- Create, maintain, and reinforce a strong jobsite safety culture.
- Perform safety audits and address safety concerns as they arise.
- Actively contribute to safety-based planning during preconstruction, planning, and execution.
- Support electrical planning and controls specific to data center environments, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution coordination, temporary power, equipment installation sequencing, energization planning, shutdown coordination, lockout/tagout, commissioning readiness, and work in live, mission critical, or otherwise sensitive environments.
- Monitor work quality and ensure electrical field execution aligns with project documents, specifications, data center client standards, safety expectations, commissioning requirements, system turnover requirements, and Lewis standards.
Leadership and Communication
- Mentor and develop foremen, assistant superintendents, and field team members as part of their career growth with Lewis.
- Support training initiatives and career development as a regular and consistent part of the role.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain strong tradespeople and field leaders.
- Champion company initiatives, safety expectations, and communications to field teams on a consistent and regular basis.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, project teams, field teams, trade partners, and senior leaders.
Documentation and Technical Coordination
- Ensure accurate documentation of safety plans, procedures, violations, corrective actions, and field progress.
- Ensure required documentation is readily available for use by site teams and management.
- Ensure required equipment training is conducted and documented.
- Document technical training and issue training cards to attendees as needed.
- Remain current on new construction technologies, electrical field practices, data center construction requirements, and advanced technology delivery methods, and share findings as appropriate.
WHAT YOU BRING
