Claims Manager – Commercial General Liability & Excess

Location: Hybrid in many locations. Remote option available for qualified candidates.
Compensation: $160K – $180K base + discretionary bonus

A growing national specialty insurance carrier is seeking a Claims Manager to lead a team of experienced adjusters handling complex, litigated Commercial General Liability and Excess casualty claims . What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of senior adjusters handling high-exposure GL and Excess claims.
• Provide oversight and technical guidance on litigation strategy for casualty claims involving construction site injuries, habitational exposures, contractor/subcontractor liability, shootings, and other complex losses.
• Manage team performance, development, and workflow, ensuring compliance with reserving, reporting, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on departmental strategy and process improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with defense counsel, brokers, and insureds.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience handling complex, litigated commercial liability claims.
• People leadership experience managing claims professionals.
• Strong technical expertise in casualty claims and litigation management.
• Background in E&S (Excess & Surplus) claims preferred, but not required.
• Excellent leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
