We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - to join our team!

Work with individuals in a residential rehabilitation setting.
Be a part of making people feel safe in a therapeutic, cozy environment

Residents are alert and oriented. No lifting required, and minimal cooking and cleaning.

Currently shifts are available on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

• Counsel and advise individuals or groups with substance abuse problems
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans
• Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
• Prepare progress reports and letters for relevant parties
• Educate families and groups on substance abuse treatments and prevention programs
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals

Qualifications:

• At least a high school diploma or GED.
• Behavioral health experience (depending on level of education) at least 2 years.
• An active level one fingerprint clearance card.
• Negative TB Test: either the 2 step test or blood test.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields
• Experience in conflict resolution
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Active driver's License and willingness to transport clients

Weekend Afternoon (2pm-10pm) shifts are available immediately. Other shifts may be available on an as-needed basis.
