POSITION SUMMARY: The door person ensures the safety and security of all our guests and staff, and to make sure the customers’ nights are fun and exciting. You will play a key role in the operation of our entire business as a visible and powerful force for order.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting patrons and checking IDs
- Collecting cover charges
- Providing security and safety
- Maintaining bar supplies, when needed
- Protecting bar patrons and staff
- Monitoring bar or club perimeter for safety concerns
- Assessing customer aggression or intoxication
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Ability to work during peak business hours, including Fridays, Saturdays and special events
- Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
- Ability to assess threats and over-intoxication
- Comfortable talking to people
- Ability to manage multiple people and situations while maintaining composure
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 30 hours a week
- Ability to stand/walk for 2-6 hours per day
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic
- Work environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors
