Position Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical/Thermal Engineer with experience in gas turbine engineering analysis, CFD, and heat transfer modeling. The ideal candidate will support the design and analysis of turbine blades and vanes, perform thermal and cooling analyses, and work with advanced CAD and simulation tools to develop high-performance aerospace components.

Pay Rate: $40/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Provide design and analysis expertise for axial and radial turbine blades and vanes, with or without internal cooling
• Apply knowledge of turbine cooling and durability principles
• Perform mechanical engineering assignments involving heat transfer and secondary cooling flow analyses
• Create, execute, and calibrate 2D and 3D transient conduction-convection thermal models using NX Thermal or equivalent software
• Create and execute 3D conjugate heat transfer models using STAR-CCM+ or equivalent software
• Utilize advanced CAD skills to generate and manipulate turbine vane and blade component geometries
• Communicate technical results to internal and external customers and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
• Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred
• Proficiency using STAR-CCM+ or other commercial thermal analysis tools
• Proficiency working with CAD models using NX or equivalent CAD software
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in gas turbine engineering analysis
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident required due to export-controlled technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
