Composite Materials Engineer – Shape the Future of Aerospace Innovation
Location: Mesa, AZ 85215Job Type: Full time; Consultant (12 months )
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 2nd Shift Start time: 1:00pm - 10:30pm
Pay Rate: 60-70 hour

We're seeking a Composite Materials Engineer early career or experienced—who loves solving tough problems, experimenting with new materials, and working closely with diverse engineering and production teams.
This full-time, 2nd shift onsite role in Mesa, AZ offers the chance to work in the lab, on the factory floor, and alongside multidisciplinary design teams—seeing your work move from concept to flight.

Help ensure the efficient production of world-class aerospace components .
Apply chemistry, physics, and materials science to develop and qualify composite materials and manufacturing processes.
Provide M&P engineering support to composite part fabrication across multiple programs.
Conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Create and execute test plans ; generate technical reports and updates to specifications.
Qualify and approve materials, equipment, and processes for production use.
Guide mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory .
Integrate new technologies and help standardize materials and processes across product lines.
Work closely with Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement.
Support supplier visits and technical engagements as needed.
Coordinate test/audit programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, EHS, LEAN, and Quality requirements.
Full-time 2nd shift , 100% onsite .
Expect hands-on work across lab, factory, and engineering spaces.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance .
Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.
Special Program Access or additional government access requirements may apply.
Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Bachelor’s degree + 2+ years of experience .
Experience with composites, elastomers, and related processing techniques (level aligned to years of experience).
Hands-on lab experience with polymer chemistry and analytical techniques .
Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide , reinforcements, and adhesives.
Understanding of composite failure modes and failure analysis methods.
Experience developing technical specifications, test plans, and engineering reports .
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings .
Proficiency with Microsoft Office .
Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations .
Strong collaborator with ability to work in team-based environments.
