We make beautiful, craveable food — and we believe our visuals should feel just as good as our product tastes. As we continue to grow, we're building out the marketing team to match the momentum.

Role Overview

We're looking for a visually-driven Graphic Designer & Content Creator to join the Too Sweet Cakes marketing team. This role is made for someone who lives and breathes aesthetics, understands the power of a scroll-stopping visual, and can translate a brand story into beautiful, engaging content — from polished Instagram Stories to fun, fast-moving Reels.

You'll work closely with our Marketing Lead to concept, create, and execute visual content that feels both on-brand and of-the-moment, helping Too Sweet Cakes show up consistently and beautifully across every platform.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Content Creation

• Design and produce Instagram Stories, static posts, carousels, and visual editorials aligned with our brand aesthetic and seasonal campaigns

• Concept, shoot, and edit short-form video content including Reels and TikToks

• Maintain brand consistency across all visual outputs — typography, color, tone, and style

• Stay ahead of visual trends on Instagram and TikTok, bringing fresh ideas and formats to the team

Collaboration & Execution

• Collaborate with the marketing team to bring campaign ideas to life visually

• Support content calendar execution by delivering assets on time and to spec

• Assist with on-site content capture at retail locations and production/warehouse space as needed

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, content creation, or a related creative role
• Strong proficiency in design tools — Canva is a must; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro or equivalent) is a strong plus
• Experience creating short-form video content, with an understanding of what performs on Instagram and TikTok
• A sharp eye for aesthetics — composition, color, typography, and visual storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality
• Self-starter who takes creative initiative and brings ideas to the table, not just executes them
• Bonus: photography skills, experience with food or lifestyle brands

Portfolio Requirement

A portfolio is required to be considered for this role. Please include examples of branded social media content (Stories, carousels, static posts), short-form video or Reels (links to Instagram, TikTok, or a video reel welcome), and any editorial, campaign, or lifestyle work that represents your aesthetic. Portfolios can be submitted as a link (personal website, Adobe Portfolio, Behance, Linktree, etc.) or PDF. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.

Compensation

This part-time role offers $24–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience and portfolio strength. This range reflects Phoenix, AZ market rates for graphic designers and content creators at the 1–3 year experience level, with upward adjustment for demonstrated video and Adobe Suite proficiency.
