Technical Data Analyst

Brief Description

Under the direction of the Director of Business Intelligence and in close collaboration with marketing, sales, and membership operations, the Technical Data Analyst will lead the development and automation of advanced reporting and data analysis. This individual will be responsible for designing and managing data repositories, building and maintaining data marts, and developing stored procedures that support reporting and dashboard needs across the business. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years of experience in SQL and Power BI and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and optimize data repositories, including the development of scalable data marts to support business reporting needs.
  • Develop, document, and maintain stored procedures and ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow across systems.
  • Create and manage automated daily reporting for membership KPIs, including enrollment counts, revenue, call center metrics (OB/IB activity), agent productivity, and cash flow.
  • Build KPI reporting frameworks including revenue per hour, conversion rates, ASP, talk time, and lead penetration.
  • Create and maintain dashboards related to marketing efforts, including direct mail campaigns, email engagement, promo code redemption, and multi-touch attribution.
  • Analyze lead saturation and campaign effectiveness to identify opportunities for sales performance improvement.
  • Deliver collections and cash flow reporting to support financial forecasting and planning.
  • Own and manage data quality improvement processes (e.g., data deduplication, enrichment, and cleansing via APIs like Melissa Data and NCOA integration).
  • Provide ongoing Salesforce campaign performance insights, including dialer campaign trends and enrollment penetration rates.
  • Support SMS and paid social attribution reporting, integrating customer touchpoint data from multiple sources.
  • Build and maintain ad hoc datasets and lead lists for targeted marketing and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data needs and deliver custom analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent experience with 10+ years in a hands-on technical data role
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation
  • Advanced Power BI skills with the ability to build and maintain enterprise-level dashboards
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics, lead management, and call center KPIs
  • Proven experience managing data repositories and building data marts
  • Experience developing stored procedures and maintaining ETL pipelines
  • Experience working with data hygiene tools and methodologies (e.g., NCOA, Melissa Data API)
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills; ability to convey complex data findings to business stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
