Systems Install Technician

We are seeking a System Installation Technician for a leading audiovisual and rigging company based in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area. In this key role, you’ll work on job sites installing and rigging AV, lighting, and stage equipment for performing arts centers, schools, and houses of worship. You’ll collaborate with a team of skilled technicians to bring complex projects to life, ensuring each installation meets the highest standards of safety, precision, and creativity.

Position Offers:

• Up to $35/hour, depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, mount, and rig AV, lighting, and rigging systems at job sites.

• Pull and terminate wiring for panels, racks, and equipment.

• Read and interpret CSI and architectural/engineering drawings.

• Safely hang truss, lights, speakers, and screens while adhering to company and site standards.

• Load and unload trucks, use pallet jacks and lifts, and support cross-departmental projects as needed.

• Troubleshoot and test completed work for quality and accuracy.

• Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times.

• Collaborate closely with other technicians and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.

Requirements :

• 2+ years of field installation or rigging experience (construction + entertainment/theatrical preferred).

• Understanding of rigging concepts and terminology from live events, concerts, or venue work.

• Comfortable working at heights, on lifts, and with heavy materials (ability to lift 50–75 lbs).

• Ability to read drawings and work effectively under general contractors on construction projects.
