Sage & Light Legacy Learning ( is seeking an experienced, Arizona-certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person school-year Engagement with an Arizona public school district.

We partner with school districts to connect them with qualified special education professionals whose experience, professionalism, and commitment help students thrive. This opportunity is intended for an educator who can independently provide high-quality special education services while collaborating effectively within a District setting.

Compensation

• $70.00 per verified Service Hour
• Paid twice monthly for up to 40 Hours per week
• Eligible for a $1,000 first-semester completion bonus
• Eligible for a $1,000 end-of-year completion bonus

Completion bonuses are subject to the terms of the written independent contractor agreement.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity , not a W-2 employee position.

Professional Responsibilities:

• Providing specially designed instruction and related student support
• Developing, reviewing, implementing, and documenting IEP services
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining required data
• Completing assessments, reports, and District-required documentation
• Participating in IEP, eligibility, multidisciplinary team, parent, and staff meetings
• Managing applicable case-management and compliance responsibilities
• Collaborating professionally with families, service providers, and District personnel
• Following applicable federal and state laws, student IEPs, and District safety, confidentiality, security, and site-access requirements
• Exercising independent professional judgment in the delivery of special education services

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Hold an active Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate
• Hold a current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Be available for a full-time, in-person school-year Engagement
• Have experience developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Understand special education compliance, documentation, and progress-monitoring requirements
• Be prepared to complete District-required credential verification and site-access requirements
• Be available to participate in interviews with Sage & Light and the District

Preferred Qualifications

Priority consideration may be given to professionals with:

• Successful special education teaching experience
• Previous experience in an Arizona public school district
• An advanced professional
• Experience supporting students with a range of educational and behavioral needs
