ROLE IMPACT
The Estimator I plays a pivotal role in project acquisition by preparing accurate bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. Success in this role ensures that projects are competitively priced, well-documented, and fully understood before execution, directly impacting profitability and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review drawings and specifications to define scope and estimate components.
• Prepare detailed cost takeoffs and enter data into estimating software systems.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and alignment with project plans.
• Develop complete bid packages including subcontracts, tools, equipment rentals, and material costs.
• Support bid reviews and coordinate project turnover to operations teams.
• Draft scope letters and maintain estimate backup documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience estimating commercial construction (electrical preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Accubid and CAD/3D software experience a plus
• Strong numerical, blueprint interpretation, and problem-solving skills

• Experience preparing detailed scope clarifications and client documentation
• Strong communication and collaborative skills across teams and stakeholders

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Office-based with occasional travel to job sites (up to 25%)
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, type, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs
• Variable lighting and environmental conditions indoors; moderate job site noise
