Key Job Details – PACU RN Locum Tenens

• Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens / travel nursing contract
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (8-hour evening shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,250 - $2,310 per week
• Call Requirements: 5-6 days/month, includes 1 weekend day & 1 Friday (rotating call)
• Unit: 12-bed PACU/ACU (2nd floor)
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 4:1, depending on care area
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue (provided by facility)
• Housing: Options available for travel nurses

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU, ICU, or Cath Lab nursing experience
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Experience with Medhost and CQI EHR systems preferred
• Ability to float between ACU and PACU (Pre-op Phase I & II)
• Travel nursing or locum tenens experience preferred
• Critical care and Cath Lab recovery experience a plus

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Monitor and assess patient recovery following surgical procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Float between ACU and PACU as needed, including pre-op and recovery phases
• Participate in call rotation as scheduled
• Document patient care accurately using Medhost and CQI EHR systems
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and Joint Commission standards
