Join a high-impact engineering team driving innovation in advanced propulsion systems. The HTF Growth & Test project team within Engines & Power Systems is seeking an Engineering Systems Support Specialist II to design, enhance, and modernize data systems and tools critical to running engine development programs.
In this role, you'll work closely with world-class engineers, procurement specialists and program managers to build and evolve tools for hardware tracking, test asset management, configuration control and program reporting. You'll also play a key role in supporting digital transformation initiatives and administering the export compliance infrastructure for the global engineering organization. You will report directly to the Director Engineering, and you will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. Note: the new hires will work onsite for the first 90 days. - Design, develop, and maintain engineering data management tools supporting:
- Hardware tracking
- Test asset management
- Configuration and mass property management
- Support and modernize legacy systems, including:
- Maintaining existing tools
- Planning and executing data and system migrations to modern platforms tied to Honeywell Aerospace's Digital Transformation initiative
- Partner with engineering, hardware management, and procurement teams to:
- Define and implement effective hardware tracking processes
- Collaborate with program controls and program management to:
- Develop custom reporting and resource planning tools
- Administer export compliance infrastructure, ensuring:
- Alignment with export control regulations
- Efficient collaboration across global teams
YOU MUST HAVE
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in:
- Database development, OR
- Systems/tools development (internal tools, engineering systems, etc.)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with FileMaker Pro or similar database platforms
- Strong working knowledge of Relational databases, Data management workflows, Process automation
- Experience with:
- Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI and/or Microsoft Project
- Data reporting and analytics tools
- System migrations or legacy modernization
- Familiarity with Agile tools or environments (such as IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management).
- Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
- Strong communicator who can work across engineering, operations, and leadership teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Passion for building systems that improve efficiency and enable engineering success
