Role Scope:
The Production Planner is primarily responsible for organizing and scheduling production processes to ensure timely delivery of goods while optimizing resources and maintaining quality standards; actively on production floor to oversee operations and ensure that processes are running smoothly.
Key Accountabilities of this position include:
- Production Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules based on customer demand and inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with various departments, including purchasing, production, and logistics, to ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available for production.
- Monitoring Production Processes: Oversee the production process to identify and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring material supply flow and identifying any shortages or bottlenecks.
- Data Analysis: Analyze production data and generate reports on production metrics, such as efficiency and utilization, to inform decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production managers and other stakeholders to align production plans with business objectives and customer requirements.
The skills and experience that will encourage success in your application include:
- Education: A degree in operations management, manufacturing, or a related field is often preferred.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in production planning or manufacturing support.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize production processes and address any challenges that arise.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that production targets are met.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in production planning software and tools, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Language Requirement: English required; Korean language skills highly desirable
