Software Asset Mgmt / License Comp

Join a leading financial services organization supporting enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) and Software License Compliance initiatives. This role is responsible for software license compliance analysis, software contract review, audit readiness, software asset governance, and data quality management across a large technology environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting software licensing agreements, performing compliance reconciliations, supporting software audits, and identifying software optimization opportunities. You will partner with technology, procurement, legal, and leadership teams to ensure compliance with vendor agreements while reducing risk and improving operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct software license compliance reviews and reconciliations
• Analyze software contracts, licensing terms, and entitlements
• Support software audits, certifications, and compliance initiatives
• Research and troubleshoot software asset data issues
• Maintain software inventory and lifecycle management records
• Identify software optimization and cost-saving opportunities
• Utilize ServiceNow and other workflow tools to support SAM processes
• Partner with stakeholders across technology and business teams to drive compliance and governance efforts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• MUST have current or recent Banking or Financial Services industry experience
• 5+ years of technology experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM)
• Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM)
• Experience with Software License Compliance and License Management
• Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance concepts
• Experience analyzing and interpreting software contracts and licensing agreements
• Experience performing software license reconciliations
• Experience supporting software audits and compliance initiatives
• Strong data analysis, research, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar workflow platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting skills
• Experience managing or supporting medium-sized technology initiatives
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior leadership
• Hands-on experience with AI tools including Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Gemini

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) Certification
• Experience with Flexera, Snow, Tachyon, or similar SAM tools
• Experience within large enterprise banking or financial services environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret complex software licensing agreements and contract terms
