Summary
The Hybrid School Psychologist provides consultation services and triages referrals for designated school sites. During scheduled office hours, the psychologist offers recommendations for additional support, guidance on evaluations, and conducts assessments in alignment with state and district guidelines. Following assessments, the psychologist participates in team meetings to interpret data and provide intervention feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultation and office-hour services to staff, parents, and students.
Triage and review referrals for appropriate support or evaluation.
Conduct evaluations using normative, criterion-based, and informal assessments.
Attend team meetings to present findings, interpret data, and recommend interventions.
Communicate complex psychological data clearly to parents, teachers, and staff.
Apply knowledge of child development, learning disorders, and behavioral management.
Ensure compliance with IDEA and special education regulations.
Provide culturally sensitive services for a diverse student population.
Minimum Requirements
Masters degree in Psychology or related field
Valid State School Psychologist Certificate
Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Knowledge of IDEA and Special Education rules and regulations
Strong psychometric assessment background
Knowledge of evaluation procedures for students with sensory and physical impairments
Understanding of child development, learning, and behavioral disorders
Ability to communicate psychological data effectively (written and verbal)
Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences
Knowledge of K-12 curricula
Preferred Qualifications
EdS or PhD in School Psychology
Licensed Psychologist in Arizona
Additional Requirements After Hire
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
Release of Social Security Number for AHCCCS-Provider ID Number eligibility
Completion of Bloodborne Pathogen training
Valid drivers license (Arizona license required within 30 days of hire)
