Field Operations Supervisor

A Day in the Life:

The Field Operations Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to the Field Operations team. They support the team and fill in as needed for a range of tasks including complex animal rescues, evidence collection at suspected crime scenes and medical crisis stabilization of animals in distress. The Field Operations Supervisor coordinates the daily responsibilities of the team to optimize efficiency. They consult with the public and government agencies on reports of cruelty to animals, ensuring the team fulfills all contractual responsibilities.

Job Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator and/or NACHO certification preferred. Or be able to achieve NACHO certification within two (2) years of employment.
• Must have a minimum five years' experience as an EAMT, Field Officer, Animal Control Officer, Police Officer or Military Police
• Minimum of three years' experience in a Leadership role in a shelter environment (Humane, County, Rescue, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of Arizona Revised Statute Title 13.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills for conflict resolution.
• Must be a highly organized individual and possess good public relations and customer service skills.
• Must be able to pass the EAMT training curriculum and physical agility test.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Animal Cruelty Investigator and/or NACHO certification preferred. Or be able to achieve NACHO certification within two (2) years of employment.
• Valid AZ Driver's License with no moving violations and Insurance. Ability to be insured by our organizational insurance carrier for driving.

Other:

Regular attendance and punctuality required. All Field EAMT positions are required to drive AHS vehicles and are designated as safety sensitive; misdemeanor and felony charges and/ or convictions, inability to pass driving background, or failure to pass drug or background screening may disqualify candidates from the position.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to hear above the sound of the animals.

There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander. Most time will be spent in a typical air conditioned and heated office environment.
