Position Overview

We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing tax leadership team. This hybrid role requires three days per week in our local office, combining schedule flexibility with essential face-to-face team collaboration and staff development. You will manage complex client portfolios, oversee engagement teams, and drive strategic tax planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Tax managers oversee the final review of sophisticated individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. You will conduct high-level tax research and deliver actionable planning strategies for complex client scenarios. Team leaders manage client engagement economics, billing, and project timelines while serving as the primary point of contact for key relationships. You will also directly mentor tax seniors and staff, conduct performance reviews, and contribute to internal training programs.

Qualifications

Candidates need a Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field along with 5 or more years of progressive experience in public accounting tax services. An active CPA license is required for this management role. You must possess deep technical expertise in federal and state tax laws, strong supervisory experience, and excellent client advisory skills. Candidates must be local to the Phoenix area to fulfill the 3-day in-office schedule.
