A well-established manufacturing company in Phoenix is looking for an individual that wants to work in an Aerospace machine shop. Duties will include parts washing, material cutting, receiving material, general cleaning and machine operation. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in developing skills that will lead to advancement in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various shop operations such as part washing, material cutting, chemical filming, general cleaning and machine operating as directed by the Shop Manager.
• Operate and maintain Band Saw and perform Sheet Metal Operations.
• Exercise care and attention to detail in the completion of assigned tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of daily and weekly cleaning solution tests.
• Maintain records of incoming material and ability to designate material for incoming work.
• Load and Unload truck deliveries using Forklift.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods at a time.
• Required to work from instructions, both written and oral.
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• Comply with personal safety requirements
• Will work with some Hazardous Materials
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Attention to detail
• Comfortable in a machine shop environment
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must be willing to learn existing system

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Graduate from a Technical School.
• Strong Mechanical skills.
• 1-year experience in aerospace parts manufacturing or similar shop environment.
• Knowledge of aerospace industry manufacturing standards.
