Medical Collections Specialist Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.50 to $22.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 03:30pm )

• Validate appropriate posting of payments to accounts receivable
• Apply denials using collection tools and hospital procedures
• Contacting patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
• Investigating and correcting errors in billing information and claims processing
• Post adjustments for account reconciliation and resolution
• Maintain effective communication across business and clinical divisions
• Respond professionally to inquiries via phone, email, and task systems
• Utilize issue logs when necessary
• Provide backup support to Cash Management functions as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Medical Collections Specialist Qualifications:

• Experience in hospital collections
• Accuracy in billing, coding, and claim processing is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Cerner Soarian (not required but a plus)

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
