Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Schedule covers 4-week periods with self-scheduling system balanced by management
• Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)
• Holiday requirement includes working 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
• No call or standby requirements
• May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• First to float designation for nights
• Patient ratios of 1:5 on telemetry units (4A and 4B with 48 total beds)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting strips (required to sign at least once per shift)
• Experience needed with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA cases
• Cerner charting system experience recommended
• Care for patients with COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and various surgical patients
• Work with equipment including BiPap, CPAP, high flow oxygen, and breathing treatments
• Charge nurse available who does not take patient assignments
• Nurse aides available with 1:10-15 ratios
• BSN not required

This regional medical center operates a comprehensive telemetry and surgical unit featuring 48 beds across two units on the 4th floor. The facility provides specialized care for a wide range of medical and surgical conditions including neurological, orthopedic, and general surgical patients. The medical center maintains modern equipment and technology with remote telemetry monitoring and respiratory therapy services available 24/7.
