Job Title: I&C DesignerJob Description
We are looking for an I&C Designer who will utilize current drafting practices and tools to complete assigned drafting tasks. You will assist in the development of instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams. Your role will involve assembling typical details to support Instrumentation and Control drawings and aiding in the preparation of estimates and material lists under the guidance of project engineers or project managers. Additionally, you will develop control panel elevation drawings, assist in quality checking of drafted products, and ensure conformance with drawing production standards and project-specific CAD/BIM requirements. Providing basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications and developing basic SCADA block diagrams will also be part of your role.
Responsibilities
+ Utilize current drafting practices and tools for completion of assigned tasks.
+ Assist in developing instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams.
+ Assemble typical details to support Instrumentation and Control drawings.
+ Prepare estimates and material lists with guidance from project engineers or managers.
+ Develop control panel elevation drawings.
+ Assist in quality checking of drafted products for conformance with standards.
+ Provide basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications.
+ Develop basic SCADA block diagrams.
+ Size flow meters and manage piping design.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience as an instrumentation and controls designer and 5 total years in design.
+ Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
+ Basic understanding of instrumentation controls.
+ Familiarity with International Society of Automation (ISA) standards.
+ Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design.
+ Understanding of data conversion between MicroStation and AutoCAD.
+ Basic understanding of fiber optic cable routing.
+ Knowledge of basic network cabinets.
+ Experience with multiple discipline projects.
+ Proficiency in developing 2D Electrical and Instrumentation schematic drawings.
+ Working knowledge of P&ID CAD applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with data management and programming is preferred.
+ Familiarity with CADworks P&ID and Plant 3D is preferred.
+ Background in oil and gas is advantageous.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining remote work with office presence in a 2nd floor office space in Phoenix. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with minimal overtime. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
