The Electronics Technician Maintenance I performs systems maintenance and operations. Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
• Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. Operates system under supervision.
• Receives technical guidance, as required from supervisor or higher-level technician.
• Work is checked for accuracy.
• Performs organization and intermediate-level repair when supervised. Performs corrosion control on equipment/towers.
• Cross-trained and qualified to operate at least one additional EW system.
• Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
• Reports to: Assigned Senior Technician or Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as required to complete assigned mission.

Pay Rate: $27.97 Required Skills, Qualifications and Certifications

• This position requires 2 years' experience involved in the following electronic maintenance OR 2years of formal technical training may be substituted for two years' experience:
• Digital/Analog signal processing
• Synchro-servo circuits
• Radar and Radar Theory
• Electromechanical devices
• Video signal processing and recording
• Communications (multiplexer equipment)
• Digital/Analog computer systems
• High Voltage power supplies
• Test equipment
• Optical equipment
• RF signal processing
• Antenna systems
• Low-voltage AC equipment
• Auto-transfer (UPS) equipment
• Must maintain current RF Radiation Awareness certification
• Current COMSEC certification eligibility
• Maintain Laser Safety certification

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned
• Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, andstated in the section SOPs
• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background screening.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
