Vaco Phoenix is working with a company in Tempe who is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their growing team. This position requires the preparation, processing, and maintenance of basic payroll responsibilities. Job Description: Process new hire paperwork, W-4 forms, Personnel Action Forms (PAFs), and craft transfers as needed. Import employee time, review labor records for accuracy, and work with jobsite staff to fix errors before payroll is finalized. Run payroll reports to verify time and pay information and ensure accurate payroll processing. Process off-cycle payments, including final paychecks, missed or incorrect pay, retroactive pay, and one-time payments. Prepare and correct Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs), including uploads when required. Manage employee payroll documents in the system. Respond to and resolve payroll support tickets. Review and process employee expense reports. Process payroll reclassifications and corrections resulting from time entry updates. Required: 3 years of experience in payroll Proven expertise in certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage compliance, etc.) Familiar with multi-state payroll and job costing Experience with federal, state, and local wage laws Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
