Position Overview:

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the team in our Scottsdale office. The Staff Accountant is a smart, skilled and strongly motivated individual, who welcomes a challenge and is excited to learn and grow in the field of accounting.

This role provides accounting support for a multi-location management consulting firm in order to carry out day-to-day finance and accounting activities. This role works both independently and collaboratively to ensure timely and successful delivery of accounting services for the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare multiple state sales tax returns
• Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close process
• Fixed asset management
• Track and assist with gathering budget and forecasting data
• Support Accounting team and Controller
• Ad hoc management reporting
• Special projects as needed and additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• One or more years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to solve problems
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, advanced formulas, VLookups, etc.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint a plus
• Willingness and eagerness to learn and take on new tasks

Salary Range: $68,000 – $75,000
