**In this position...**
In this manufacturing engineering role, you will work actively on Industrialization of cell / array / pack factories with a diverse, multi-functional team to specify, deliver and commission state-of-the-art processes and equipment for the production of battery cells, arrays and packs that meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction in the New Energy Vehicles of tomorrow.
**What you'll do...**
+ Provide plant assistance to support launch requests and extraordinary needs with existing cell suppliers
+ Support JV partner to develop manufacturing process. Lead, engineer line layouts, implement the Battery Manufacturing processes, and launch manufacturing facilities.
+ Lead simultaneous engineering with product, purchasing and suppliers to deliver manufacturing feasibility. Drive design for manufacturability for new Cell and Module products.
+ Work closely with OEMs in the design of manufacturing equipment, process, and tooling
+ Lead development of quality methods including process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA), associated gauging requirements and inspection methods. Deliver a control plan per the quality strategy
+ Develop assembly system solutions including workstation requirements (work content, automated versus manual, buffering strategy, redundancy requirements, etc.)
+ Define Cycle time, OEE, and other performance targets with industrial engineering to develop optimal operating and labor strategies
+ Define equipment acceptance criteria including duration, target results, and quality inspection plans
+ Provide relevant process documentation (drawings, PM plans, spare parts, training manuals)
+ Lead equipment installation and coordinate with building and utility teams
+ Lead on site equipment buyoff per acceptance procedures
+ Manage schedule and budget
+ Track and own change management to deliver quality, cost, and timing
+ Support plant operations to achieve system performance objectives OEE, Cycle time, JPH
+ Enable successful process and system transitions to plant operations
+ **Travel required, 10% international, up to 25% domestic.**
+ **Navigate and move throughout a large, multi-level manufacturing facility (4.5 million sq. ft.) to perform job duties. This may involve transversing significant distances regularly.**
**You'll have...**
+ Associate's degree in engineering
+ 3+ years of experience/understanding of overall manufacturing processes and manufacturing business acumen
+ Experience in voice of customer and relating customer need into potential solutions.
+ Proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving industry, embracing new technologies and processes.
+ Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
+ Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering
+ 3+ years of battery manufacturing experience
+ 5+ years of experience/understanding of overall manufacturing processes and manufacturing business acumen
+ Experience implementing large scale projects as a manufacturing engineer or project manager on new specialized manufacturing lines
