Trimming Technician (FA Card Required)
The Trimming Technician is responsible for hand-trimming harvested cannabis plants to meet company quality standards and state compliance requirements. This role ensures finished flower is properly manicured, free of excess leaf material, and prepared for curing and packaging.
This is a detail-oriented, repetitive production role ideal for individuals who take pride in precision, consistency, and quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities Trimming & Quality Control
- Hand-trim harvested cannabis plants using scissors or trimming tools
- Remove excess leaves while preserving flower structure and integrity
- Inspect buds for quality, mold, pests, or defects
- Separate trim, waste, and usable product according to SOPs
- Maintain consistent trim quality and production quotas
- Assist with bucking plants (removing buds from stems)
- Support weighing and recording trimmed product
- Help with drying and curing processes as needed
- Accurately track weights and complete required logs
- Follow all state regulations and company SOPs
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody procedures
- Report quality concerns or discrepancies to leadership immediately
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Sanitize trimming tools and equipment regularly
- Follow PPE and hygiene protocols
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Must possess or obtain required state cannabis worker permit/license
- Ability to pass background screening (if required by state regulations)
- Previous trimming or cannabis production experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive, detail-focused tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable standing or sitting for long shifts
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- High level of manual dexterity

- Indoor cultivation or production facility
- Exposure to cannabis allergens and strong odors
