Lead Welder Pay : $25–$30 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join a close-knit team in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will work on large industrial mining equipment , performing both repairs and new fabrication. The majority of work will involve MIG welding , with some stick welding and Air Arcing .

Key Responsibilities

• Weld and repair mine equipment , including large industrial buckets.
• Perform MIG welding as the primary process, with occasional stick welding and Air Arcing.
• Read and interpret blueprints for accurate fabrication and repair.
• Handle general labor tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of welding experience (MIG, Stick, Air Arc).
• 2+ years lead experience needed for supervisor role
• Ability to pass a weld test (attached).
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments (heat tolerance required).

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Experience in a mining or heavy industrial setting is a plus.

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor shop setting with approximately 10 team members. Some areas are air-conditioned; others are not.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucson, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
