Role Summary
The Operations Manager at Minit Charger is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of production, supply chain, and service delivery. You will ensure that the manufacturing of fast-charging hardware (like the ALTUS II, Magnus, Mobilus and Momentus series) meets strict quality standards; This role requires a blend of technical oversight, vendor management, and process optimization to support major global clients in the aviation and logistics sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production & Supply Chain Management: Oversee the manufacturing lifecycle of DC fast chargers and battery management systems. Manage relationships with component suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
- Deployment & Field Operations: Coordinate the installation and commissioning of charging infrastructure at high-stakes locations like major airports and distribution centers.
- Service & Maintenance Oversight: Manage the technical support team and third-party maintenance contractors to ensure maximum uptime for the charging network, adhering to strict SLAs.
- Process Optimization: Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to streamline internal workflows, from initial order entry to final site acceptance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the linchpin between the Engineering team (R&D) and the Business Development team to ensure customer requirements are translated into operational reality.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations meet OSHA standards and electrical codes (NEC/UL). Maintain rigorous safety protocols for high-voltage testing and site installations.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Utilize CRM and ERP systems to track KPIs such as production lead times, equipment failure rates, and operational budgets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in operations management, ideally within the EV infrastructure , industrial power electronics , or aerospace sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or an Engineering field (Electrical/Mechanical preferred).
- Technical Savvy: Understanding of power electronics (SiC technology, DCFC) and IoT-based asset management software.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, including technicians, warehouse staff, and administrative personnel.
- Logistics: Strong background in supply chain management and vendor negotiations.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel), ERP systems, and project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in electronics or equipment manufacturing operation.
- Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt .
- Familiarity with utility grid integration and load management.
