Heart And Vascular Associates LLC is a family medicine practice located in Sierra Vista, AZ. We are seeking a Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a desire to become an integral part of our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare and wants to help our patients feel as comfortable as possible during their visit. This position is for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys working with people. We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, and has the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position will be responsible for providing support to our physicians and patients.


Job description:
Candidates must be able to complete the following responsibilities:

• Provide administrative care to patients: answering phones, taking patient history, scheduling appointments, preparing charts, filling/refilling RX.
• Recording and updating patient medical history, including medication list.
• Performing EKGs and measuring and recording vital signs.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the physician or medical staff.
• Prepare patients for procedures: providing patient education.
• Stock exam rooms with supplies, maintain inventory of supplies in the office area.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety at all times.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Cleaning of exam rooms; stocking exam rooms with supplies; preparing exam rooms for providers.
• Maintain patient records at the time of exam.
• Scheduling appointments; answering phones; faxing; copying; ordering office supplies; maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
• Help implement the practice's quality assurance and control program ensuring compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

Job Type: Full-time.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Expected hours: 40 per week.

• Monday to Friday.

Experience:

• EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred).
• Vital signs: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred).
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred).
