Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher/Controller to join our logistics and transportation operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, managing dispatching activities, and ensuring efficient transportation planning. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced analysis skills and transportation management systems to optimize fleet utilization, maintain seamless communication with drivers and clients, and support supply chain operations. Duties

• Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Monitor GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency.
• Manage dispatching activities for fleet vehicles, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Enter data accurately into logistics software platforms including AS400, Transportation Management Systems, and Supply Chain modules.
• Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to shipping schedules.
• Utilize analysis skills to assess transportation routes, freight costs, and delivery performance for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate freight movement and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, vehicle logs, and freight documentation for audit purposes.
• Support fleet management by tracking vehicle maintenance schedules and compliance requirements.
