Travel RN Job Details – Tucson, AZ

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Location: Tucson, Arizona 85712 (Arizona nursing jobs)
• Unit: Adult Surgical RN – Med/Surg Tele
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910-$1960
• Weekend Coverage: 12 weekend shifts per contract
• Orientation: 24 hours (multiple dates available)
• Team Nursing Model: LPN + RN, 8:1 team ratio
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Charting System: EPIC (required for all travel nurse jobs)
• Floating: May float within scope of practice, including to TMC Rincon facility

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications (valid through contract start date)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior travel RN experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to commit to full 13-week contract
• Willingness to float within scope of practice
• Not accepting local candidates (must reside outside 75-mile radius of Tucson, AZ)
• One supervisory reference required
• Solo RN patient ratio: 1:5-6

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Collaborate within a team nursing model (LPN + RN)
• Monitor, interpret, and document telemetry data
• Administer blood products; manage central and peripheral lines, chest tubes, and surgical drains
• Care for patients with CVA, renal failure, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes
• Implement isolation precautions and manage dysrhythmias
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
• Float to other units or facilities within scope of practice as required
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
