Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a technically skilled professional to design and install in‐building broadband networks, including the equipment used to transmit high‐speed data across multi‐tenant residential and commercial properties. This role involves working with coax, twisted‐pair copper, and fiber‐optic cabling, as well as complex network and switching equipment. The ideal candidate will coordinate and manage new in‐building network installations, evaluate properties to determine compatibility with various broadband systems, and support large‐scale build projects by ensuring proper planning and on‐time implementation. Responsibilities also include producing technical documentation to assess build feasibility for candidate properties and providing ad‐hoc operational support to local field engineering and sales teams as needed.
Must Haves:
-- 5-7 Years of hands-on experience with coax, twisted pair copper or fiber optic cabling and complex networks as well as switching equipment
-- Experiuenc with Multi-Dwelling Units and Commercial locations dealing with the design and install of in-building network architectures
-- General work area hazard identification & prevention
-- Knowledge & experience with CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals)
-- Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting coax and Cat6a Ethernet cabling
-- Must possess a vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment
-- Hands-on experience working on ladders (step/extension/folding)
-- Hands-on experience with drilling in multiple dwelling/commercial buildings
-- Frontline experience with working with customer/clients
