Experienced MEP Engineer - Modular Contruction

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Engineer to join our team, specializing in the modular construction industry . This role is responsible for the design, coordination, and integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into modular building projects, ensuring code compliance, efficiency, and seamless off-site and on-site execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop MEP systems for modular buildings, ensuring compatibility with off-site manufacturing and on-site installation.
Collaborate with architectural and structural teams to ensure complete integration of MEP systems.
Conduct system load calculations and select appropriate equipment (HVAC, electrical panels, water heaters, etc.).
Create and review MEP drawings, schematics, and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of MEP components.
Ensure compliance with national, state, and local building codes and industry standards.
Conduct quality assurance checks during production and installation phases.
Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize system performance while reducing cost.
Troubleshoot and resolve MEP-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay current with emerging technologies, products, and best practices relevant to modular building systems.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or related field).
3-5+ years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably in modular or prefabricated construction.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and related design and modeling software.
Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, IMC, NEC, IPC, ASHRAE).
Excellent project coordination, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
PE license required.

Preferred Experience:

Direct experience with modular or off-site construction projects.
Familiarity with factory-based construction processes and sequencing.
Understanding of the unique constraints and opportunities in modular design and transportation.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
